When you make your reservation with The Meriton on Main Beach, you are accepting the following Terms and Conditions that apply:
Age:
You must be at least 18 years of age to make a booking of any accommodation.
Payment:
At the time of booking, all reservations require a deposit to be taken to secure the booking. The amount will be equal to the first night’s accommodation by a valid Visa or MasterCard. The balance will then be withdrawn on the morning of your arrival by the nominated Credit Card.
The Meriton on Main Beach reserves the right to cancel your reservation should a non-valid credit card be provided within 24 hours of when the reservation is made.
Changes to your Reservation:
Should you wish to change your reservation, you must contact our reception desk during office hours or by email. Although we will do our best to assist you, we cannot guarantee that your requests can be met.
Cancellation of Reservation:
Our Cancellation Policy is the following:
Should you wish to cancel your reservation with more than 30 days until your arrival date, a charge of $50.00 applies.
If you wish to cancel your reservation within 30 days, your entire deposit will be forfeited.
Arrivals & Departures:
Check in is from 2.00 pm and check out is by 10.00 am.
Please note that our office hours are 9:00am to 5:00pm Monday to Friday, and 9:am to 12:00pm on Saturday. The office will be closed every Sunday and on public holidays.
If you are arriving outside of our office’s open hours, please advise us and we will send you a text message before your arrival to give you instruction for self check-in.
Requirements upon Check in:
You will be required to provide either a Visa or MasterCard at check-in to cover incidental charges ($200.00 bond). The credit card must be valid and belong to the person who is registering at check-in (we do not accept Diners Card and American Express Card).
If the room was left damaged, the $200 bond will not be refunded.
If the room was left dirty, $50 will be taken out of the bond to pay extra cleaning labour.
If the room was left clean and without any damage, full bond will be returned to the same credit card within 5 days after your check-out.
The person registering at check-in must be at least 18 years of age.
In addition, to eliminate identity fraud, we will ask you to provide photo ID at check in to ensure that your identity matches the reservation’s identity. A record and/or copy of this photo ID may be retained to minimise the risk of fraudulent credit card usage and for verification purposes with your credit card provider in the event of disputation.
Apartment Service:
A service of your apartment is provided for bookings of accommodation for eight nights or more.
Policies:
In the event of a noise disturbance continuing, will result in immediate eviction from the property. Local police will be called to attend.
Please refrain from throwing objects off balconies, such actions can cause serious harm and is a prosecutable offence.
Please note any damages caused to the apartment will be charged to the guest account as will any excessive cleaning if the apartment is not left in an acceptable state on departure. All apartments are inspected prior to arrival and inspected upon your departure.
Schoolies:
The Meriton on Main Beach does NOT accept ‘Schoolies’ bookings.
Force Majeure:
We will not be in breach of the agreement or any way liable to any party, if it is prevented from complying with this agreement by reason of act of God, act of public enemy, act of terrorism, war, earthquake, riot, explosion, compliance and with any law or government restraint order, rule regulations, strikes, pandemic, lockouts or any other cause not reasonably within the control of The Meriton on Main Beach. We will not be liable for any loss of any kind whatsoever.
Privacy Policy:
The Meriton on Main Beach, use and disclose personal information about you. We collect personal information directly from you and may also collect personal information passively through our website. Some of our websites may use cookies. The main purpose of cookies is to identify users and to prepare customised web pages for them. Cookies do not identify you personally, but they may link back to a database record about you. We use cookies to monitor our website’s usage and create a personal record of when you visit our website and what page you view so that we may serve you more effectively.
We collect your personal information for the purposes of providing you with a range of leisure accommodation products and services, responding to and managing your enquiries and reservations, processing your membership application, facilitating our internal business operations, providing you with information, including newsletters and updates about other products and services that we offer that may be of interest to you and complying with any legal or regulatory requirements. If the personal information you provide is incomplete or inaccurate, we may not be able to provide you with the products or services you seek.
Our privacy policy (available on our website or on request) sets out how you can access and ask for correction of your personal information, how you can complain about privacy-related matters and how we respond to complaints.
